DRIVE C2X - Accelerate cooperative mobility

Launch pad for a European system
The DRIVE C2X reference system has been drafted, specified, implemented, integrated and tested. The system creates the foundation for a pan-European C2X field operational test. It serves as the basis for the comprehensive evaluation of cooperative mobility carried out by DRIVE C2X.
As described in the system architecture page a European system for cooperative driving technologies yields several benefits for an optimal deployment of C2X: the reference system contributes to a comparable evaluation across borders, interoperability and integration of national systems and a connected large-scale testing platform.
The reference implementation is based on the PRE-DRIVE C2X system and provides a set of software components for vehicle, roadside and central ITS stations, as well as external components for testing. The predecessor system was revised, updated and extended. New components, functions and applications were designed to create the DRIVE C2X enhanced system.
